After a year of no live performances, Choregus Productions is excited to bring artists back to the Tulsa stages beginning with the 2021 Summer Heat International Dance Festival. Please join us as we welcome Complexions Contemporary Ballet back to Tulsa for their third Choregus appearance. We are also presenting the first ever Oklahoma performance of Bruce Wood Dance and the second visit by Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company. Special accommodations are being made for social distancing in the Chapman Music Hall and we are working closely with the Tulsa Performing Arts Center to ensure a safe environment for our audience. As soon as more artists begin touring again, we will announce our Fall and Spring Seasons. Things will be different at first, and ever changing, but we hope you will join us as we continue to bring the very best of contemporary dance and music to Tulsa.
A Choregus Productions performance and residency is where the Tulsa community comes together to be inspired, entertained, and uplifted by the passion and the power of the performing arts. This season, in addition to extraordinary public performances of world-class contemporary dance and music artists from the United States and Europe, Choregus will provide educational opportunities for over 5,000 area students and adults. Our community engagement program has been awarded the Oklahoma Governor’s Arts in Education Award. A continuation of these outreach events includes student performances (including a contemporary dance experience for every 7th grade student in the Tulsa Public School system), masterclasses, in-school residencies, lectures, and other activities to learn and be inspired by visiting artists.
