Bruce Wood Dance

Bruce Wood Dance presents high–caliber, contemporary choreography that harnesses the power of dance to entertain, enrich, and heal. The award-winning contemporary dance company, founded in 2010 by nationally acclaimed artistic director and choreographer Bruce Wood,  is built on Wood’s vision and prolific artistry.  Described as “emotionally charged and highly kinetic,” the acclaimed repertoire features original works created by Wood and commissions known for their social relevance, poignant imagery, and sinuous partnering.  Bruce Wood Dance has been recognized as Best Dance Company by D Magazine in 2013, 2014, 2017, and 2019 and Best of Dallas Voice 2014–2018 and 2020. Bruce Wood Dance has performed across Texas, at the Joyce Theater on the 2020 American Dance Platform in New York, at Jacob’s Pillow’s Inside/Out Performance Series, and other festivals in New York, Ohio, and Washington D.C.  This performance made possible by a generous grant from the Mid-America Arts Alliance.
